Mike Edmonds, being the backbone of the company was born and educated in
the U.K. Like most good builders, he started at the bottom when he enrolled in an apprentiship with C Bryant and son. Ltd. (at the time, the largest construction
company in Birmingham)

At the end of four and a half years Mike had earned :

• City and Guilds certificates for Bricklaying - Trade and advanced trade.
• City and Guilds certificate for general construction (FTC ) C Bryant and Son had 2 main divisions,
• Housing (Economy and Luxury Housing)
• Civils (Large City Developments- Offices, Theaters. Apartments etc)

Mike Edmonds continued to work in both of these divisions, for another three
years after the end of his apprentiship.

STAGE TWO
Mike left the U.K for work in Germany. This turned out to be invaluable as the
German method of construction differed to the U.K. and the standard of
workmanship was superior. Mike also mastered new talents,during this period, i.e. formwork and plastering, mainly on new homes in the domestic market, working
for both small and large construction companies.He worked and lived for 5 years
in West Germany.

STAGE THREE
SOUTH AFRICA

(1985-present day)
Mike joined family that had immigrated to this sunny land and paired up with his father in a small company aptly named"L G Edmonds and Son" together they built the company up, specializing in alteration, additions and small homes.
When Larry Edmonds retired Mike carried on, first, simply under his own name (sole proprietor) andore recently, the closed corporation called MJE PROJECTS cc.
